He was nice and had lots of little friends. The Gentle Giant had built a big sandpit and had lots of trucks and diggers to play with, in it. When his friends came to play they would play in the sandpit and make lots of things. The children’s parents liked the Gentle Giant but got angry when everyone played in the sandpit because it would rain sand all over their houses and gardens below. Mums got grumpy because their floors were always sandy and when it rained it would get messy. The people who liked gardening got mad because the leaves on the plants would break and they wouldn’t grow. The clothes always had sand through them when they were hanging on the washing line.
The Gentle Giant got sad because the children were told not to play in the sandpit when they went and played with the
Gentle Giant. He liked playing inside the house but he liked it better outside in the sunshine. He needed to work out how to fix the problem.
